Imagine an apartment in the heart of the French Alps, overlooking endless white slopes and the sound of snow under your skis. This is the dream picture the Van den Akker family had in mind when they bought their vacation home in the enchanting ski village of Les Sybelles - the fourth largest ski area in France. It is their ultimate winter paradise, where they will enjoy years of winter sports fun with family and friends. Only one thing was still missing: an interior that radiated the warmth and coziness of “coming home,” for themselves and for the guests who will rent the apartment.

Because the apartment was unfurnished and they did not feel like the endless dragging of furniture from different suppliers, they came in contact with Home Inspirations through another family. Their question was simple: “Can you help us furnish this apartment so that it really feels like coming home?” And that was exactly what we prefer to do - create a space that strikes the perfect balance between luxury, comfort and coziness. And of course, we enjoy doing that!

A personal approach, from idea to execution

At Home Inspirations, we believe that every space is unique, just like every family and their wishes. That's why every collaboration begins with a personal conversation: what style appeals to you? What are your preferences? What should the feel of the space be? For the Van den Akker family it was clear: the apartment not only had to have a luxurious look, but also offer the warmth and coziness of a home. Since they planned to rent out the apartment, the furnishings had to meet both their own needs and those of future guests. So it had to be practical and durable, as well as stylish.

Our stylist and project manager got to work right away. With the family, they worked to create a unique, customized plan. From choosing the most beautiful furniture to selecting the right decorations, every detail was carefully selected. We even took the family to the supplier for an inspiration day so they could see and feel the materials and furniture in person. Communication was always key here - since the apartment is located more than 1,000 kilometers away, we constantly kept the family informed about the progress and deliveries.

Because of the good coordination, communication and hard work, the furnishing was completed in a very short period of time and the final result to our complete satisfaction.

Flawless execution in record time

The result came from a perfect interplay of creativity, craftsmanship and organization. After tight preparation, in which we had planned everything in advance down to the last detail, the time had finally come. A Home Inspirations team of four traveled to France, with two box trucks full of furniture and accessories. What followed was an intense but incredibly satisfying two days, during which we transformed the apartment into a stylish and cozy home. We filled the space with a comfortable corner sofa, an inviting dining area and luxurious beds. The modern coffee table set, matching lamps and attractive decoration gave the space a warm, inviting feel. And of course: the balcony was furnished with comfortable seating, so you can start each day with a cup of coffee or tea while looking out over the breathtaking mountains and snowy landscape.

An apartment that feels like coming home

After two intensive days of hard work, the result was exactly what we hoped for: a warm, inviting apartment ready for years of winter sports fun. The Van den Akker Family can now enjoy, not only their own ski vacations, but also the idea that their guests will immediately feel at home here. And for us, it was the ultimate reward to celebrate the final completion together with the family - a nice dinner, a toast to the success, and a sense of pride that once again we made a dream come true.

The passion we share as a family to ski together in the winter, can now be carried out in an apartment that feels like home. In addition, the good coordination and planning ensured that there was no worry or stress for us during the process.
